CES 2025 will begin today, where AMD is seen as one of the busiest technology companies at the event with the announcement of various types of CPU component products, including the AMD Ryzen 9000HX series of processing chips for high-powered laptops and the AMD Ryzen Z2 for PC consoles.
Recently, it has been reported that AMD will show off another new processing chip for laptops, namely the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D. This CPU is the second model after the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D which was launched previously. However, for this processing chip, its use is limited to a small number of laptop models such as the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 17.
The existence of this processing chip was shown through a media event held in China by a technology company, Shenzhou Group, which confirmed the existence of this product. However, similar to the issue that plagued the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D, there is a possibility that this CPU will only be used in certain laptops due to its very high price.
Meanwhile, it is not known whether AMD will introduce this processor chip at the CES 2025 event or not. If so, we expect that only two or three laptop manufacturers will use this processor chip at the event.
