The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16, and Strix G18 were launched today, each with features that are sure to be a dream for gamers. The ROG Strix G16 and ROG Strix G18 series are offered with a 16″ or 18″ IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels 240Hz.
This can be matched with a choice of Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX or AMD Fire Range HX 16C processor chips. Graphics card options are up to NVIDIA RTX 5080 on Intel models and up to NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti on AMD models. Memory is up to 64GB DDR5-5600, 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage and a 90Wh battery.
I/O options include 2x USB-C USB 4.0 (Thunderbolt 5 on Intel models), 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x 1G LAN and a 3.5mm audio jack. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity are also included.
The ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 and ROG Strix SCAR 18 come with a 16″ or 18″ Mini LED ROG Nebula HDR Display screen that reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The processor used is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX paired with a GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, up to 64GB DDR5-6400 RAM, 2TB NVME SSD storage and a 90Wh battery.
The laptop is equipped with RGB lighting on the frame and also an AniMe Vision panel on the lid that can be programmed to display various patterns chosen by the user. The process of changing the RAM and SSD is also simplified through a quick access panel on the bottom that does not require any tools to open.
The selling price for the ASUS ROG Strix G series starts at $1899.99 (~RM8526) while the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR starts at $2,599 (~RM11,663) each.
