ASUS Updates ROG NUC Midget Gaming PC For 2025 With New Internals



ASUS acquired the NUC or Next Unit of Computing brand two years ago from Intel, and since then, has been using the NUC branding and design to introduce brand new products.


One of those products was the ASUS ROG NUC introduced last year, housing powerful laptop components in a compact desktop design, but with the aggressive design typically seen in ROG-branded offerings.


For this year, ASUS has updated the ROG NUC with the latest components from Intel and NVIDIA, including Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 laptop-class graphics cards.


Specific specifications of the CPUs that will be introduced are not yet known, but according to ASUS, the components that will be offered include chips from the Intel Core Ultra 9 200HX and Intel Core Ultra 7 200HX models and graphics cards up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080.


The ROG NUC 2025 computer will also be loaded with DDR5-6400 memory and an upgrade in terms of the frame that does not require a screwdriver to open to change internal components such as memory and storage.


In terms of plug support, the ROG NUC 2025 houses four USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, one Thunderbolt 4 plug, two DisplayPort 2.1 plugs, two HDMI 2.1 plugs. one 3.5mm audio plug. This computer will also come with support for WiFi7 wireless internet connections.


The ASUS ROG NUC 2025 computer is expected to start showing in select markets in the first quarter of 2025.
