Along with the introduction of Google Wallet support for Alliance Bank Malaysia users, Google also updated the Google Wallet support page today, showing that it has added support for Boost Bank users. This makes Boost Bank the first bank to support Google Wallet – ahead of other digital banks.
Through this support, Boost Bank users can add their Mastercard debit cards to Google Wallet, and then use them when making payments in stores. Google Wallet uses NFC support on smartphones, where after linking the card to Google Wallet, users can make payments in stores by touching the phone to the payment terminal while opening the Google Wallet application.
This step further facilitates the move towards a cashless life without a wallet.
For those of you who use Boost Bank, you can add your card to Google Wallet today. Apart from Boost Bank, other banks that are also supported are Alliance Bank, AmBank, Bank Muamalat, CIMB Bank, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC Bank, Maybank, Public Bank, RHB Bank and also Standard Chartered Bank.
