Last week, Donald Trump's hotel in Las Vegas was attacked with a Cybertruck that exploded in the lobby. The motive for the attack is still unknown, but authorities, including the FBI and ATF, confirmed that ChatGPT was used to plan the attack.
Among the questions asked by Matthew Livelsberger, who carried out the attack, were finding a source for explosives, where to buy weapons in Denver, and what weapons would be needed to cause Tennerite (a type of explosive) to explode. Authorities are not sure how these questions could be asked because they violate ChatGPT's terms and conditions.
The bombing incident occurred hours after another truck attack in New Orleans. The two incidents are believed to be unrelated. What is certain is that the chatbot developed to help find information has now been used to carry out terrorist attacks in the United States.
