DJI Flip Foldable Drone Starts at RM1,679 in Malaysia

DJI has launched a drone that is easy to see and take anywhere with the new Flip model. The combination of a practical design with high-performance imaging capabilities makes the Flip a top choice for content creators. Especially those looking for a lighter and more portable drone than the previously announced DJI Neo.

The palm-sized drone also weighs less than 249 grams and has a full propeller guard that can be easily folded. Its camera can take 48MP photos and 4K videos using a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor. It also has up to six flight modes including Dronie, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix and Boomerang.

The experience is improved with the built-in AI-based subject tracking feature that should be able to keep the subject in the frame as well. The Hyperlapse function on the drone also provides up to four direction options including Free, Circle, Course Lock and Waypoint in addition to the ability to record timelapse videos at 4K resolution horizontally or 2.7K vertically.

DJI Flip can also fly at speeds of up to 26mph in Sport Mode. It also has a 3D Infrared Sensing System for better safety even when flying in extreme weather. DJI Flip can be flown with or without a remote controller. When paired with the DJI RC-N3 or RC 2 remote controller, the long-range video transmission signal can support 1080P/60FPS resolution up to 13km away.

It can also be used with the DJI Fly app or controlled via voice commands for a hands-free flight experience. When connected to a smartphone, it can capture audio with automatically filtered noise. The included battery can work with a flight time of up to 31 minutes. DJI Flip also does not have built-in internal storage which means users will need a separate microSD card

DJI Flip is sold in Malaysia starting at RM1,679 for the drone alone. Then increases to RM2,399 with the DJI RC 2 and RM2,999 with two additional batteries included.
