DJI has launched the O4 Air Unit Series as a solution to optimize video transmission signals with clear long-range and ultra-low latency. It features two models, the DJI O4 Air Unit and DJI O4 Air Unit Pro, with guaranteed video quality that remains clear throughout the drone flight for first-person view (FPV) drone operators.
The DJI 04 Air Unit weighs only 8.2 grams and has a 1/2″ sensor that is capable of recording clear 4K/60fps video. In addition to offering a range of 10 km with a latency of 20ms, making it suitable for compact high-speed drone racing. Meanwhile, the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro is equipped with a larger 1/1.3″ sensor for clearer 4K/120fps recording with an ultra-wide 155° FOV even in low light.
A 10-bit D-Log M color mode is also provided to maintain different color tones with a built-in color temperature sensor. It can then be used up to 15km with a latency of 15ms, making it ideal for aerial and complex terrain footage. The O4 Air Unit Pro is also compatible with the DJI Goggles and FPV remote controller range, including Goggles 2, Goggles Integra, Goggles 3 and Goggles N3. This flexibility ensures that users can pair it with a remote controller for customized control. The plug-and-play functionality makes it accessible to all levels of users, whether experienced or novice.
DJI Proprietary O4 Transmission System technology with dual antennas is also provided for signal stability, as well as minimizing interference, even in challenging environments such as busy cities or seasides. Both the O4 Air Unit and O4 Air Unit Pro also support H.265 encoding and 1080P/100FPS video recording for clear real-time imaging.
Retail prices start at 115 Euros (~RM529) for the O4 Air Unit while the O4 Air Unit Pro starts at 249 Euros (~RM1,145) each.
