ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery Cancel Launch of Sports Streaming Platform

In February of last year, ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery announced they would launch a streaming platform called Venu Sports that would offer content from Formula 1, La Liga, NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, NCAA, UFC, PGA TOUR Golf, Grand Slam Tennis, FIFA World Cup, cycling and more.

In a joint statement, the launch of Venu Sports was canceled because in an ever-changing market, the best decision was to meet the growing demands of sports fans by focusing on existing products and distribution channels.

However, since the announcement was made, Venu Sports has received opposition from various parties, especially fans who are more comfortable subscribing to a specific streaming platform rather than a package that offers everything under one giant umbrella that is predicted to be more expensive.
