Google Gemini will not only arrive on Wear OS watches, but will also be integrated into Google TV. A little differently, on Google TV it will not come as a virtual assistant but rather as a news reader.
At CES 2025, Google TV showed off a new AI feature powered by Gemini, namely News Brief. News Brief will collect information from various YouTube news videos, live news broadcasts and news from around the web. Google will ensure that it only takes news from authentic sources.
In the future, Google wants to integrate Gemini into Google TV to make using television more interactive. One is to include sensors on new Google TV devices later, then you can search for content such as movies, videos and others using only everyday language or specific key glasses. Perhaps searching for “animals like mice with friends like living sticks fighting” will give you a suggestion of Guardians of the Galaxy.
The new Google TV update will be gradually introduced to existing Google TV devices and televisions and will also continue to arrive on new generation devices starting at the end of 2025.
