Until today I am excited about the concept of device control or controlling something as if using the mind, telekinesis or like a Jedi warrior in Star Wars. Various concepts of device gesture control have been introduced, but none are perfect. Most recently, gesture control with the face has been introduced to the public.
From a distance, the concept of use will appear as if controlling something with intention only. This control is limited to Chromebook devices only and is actually developed for users with disabilities. Initially, this feature was an open source project for video games and Android devices by Google called Project Gameface. It works with the device camera seeing a person's facial expression.
Then all movements such as opening the mouth, raising eyebrows, looking in a direction, winking and more are detected for different inputs on the device. These movements are translated as for scrolling, clicking, selecting, typing and more. The device camera will see 478 points on the face to detect 18 different movements. This feature is called Face Control and is available to ChromeOS beta M132 users with a minimum memory of 8GB of RAM. It will be available to everyone by next year.
