As expected, Google Gemini, a new generative AI chatbot, will be the successor to Google Assistant. Slowly, most Android devices have already become Gemini as the default virtual assistant. In the future, it will also be affected by Wear OS watches.
For now, the full use of Gemini on watches is still unclear. On the phone, for Google Home control and other controls – Gemini relies on various plugins to function like Assistant. In the code found by Android Authority, Gemini Live support, which is a chat feature with the AI chatbot, will be supported.
On the watch, support for calling Gemini with Hey Google will also be supported. It is a bit disappointing that Hey Gemini support has not yet been introduced. It is also not sure whether Wear OS 5.0 will only receive it or everything from Wear OS 3.0 and above. Let's wait and see.
