Google is ready to develop its own artificial intelligence solutions through its Gemini offering. Not only that, the internet giant is also actively investing in other artificial intelligence companies, including one of them, Anthropic.
Anthropic is often positioned as OpenAI's closest competitor, and Google has recently increased its investment in the company. It is reported that the latest investment is over $1 billion, valuing Anthropic at around $60 billion.
Previously, Google itself had invested $2 billion in Anthropic. In addition to Google, Amazon has also invested a total of $8 billion in Anthropic so far.
Anthropic is today famous through its Claude offering, and many are also actively using it, including in programming. Anthropic was founded in 2021 by a group of former OpenAI employees who wanted to focus on security in artificial intelligence – different from OpenAI.
