Green Packet through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Packet Interactive Sdn Bhd, has now received a digital lending license. This license was granted by the KPKT (Ministry of Housing and Local Government), and is valid until August 2026.
With this license, Packet Interactive can expand its financial services offerings to customers in Malaysia, especially in the form of loans.
For your information, Green Packet has a number of services under them, and was once famous for its P1 telecommunications service under them, before being taken over by Telekom Malaysia.
Through the official GreenPacket website, they are now seen focusing on several things, including digital finance, smart devices, smart city development, communications, and even academia. Kiplepay, one of the financial service providers in Malaysia, is also one of Green Packet's subsidiaries.
