Hollyland is a brand of professional camera products and audio recording products that have become increasingly popular since the end of 2023. This is because they introduced the compact portable LARK M2 microphone in the form of a button and capable of recording high-quality audio at an affordable price. The latest, an updated version has been launched.
It took Hollyland a year to introduce a new iteration. The LARK M2S is not a replacement but an updated version. This time, each microphone is smaller and no longer uses a magnetic system to clip/clip on clothes. Instead, it uses a direct clip design with the microphone surface directly without a brand logo and only weighs 7 grams each.
Interestingly, the LARK M2S also supports high-fidelity 24-bit audio recording despite the components being in a compact size. The environmental noise cancellation mode is still maintained and can be activated with a single button and there is an LED light indicating that it is active, connection status and also battery status. Hollyland's new microphone also uses a better and more stable connection system because it can support a recording distance of up to 300 meters.
For the battery, a single charge of each microphone can last up to 8-9 hours and up to 30 hours with the new charging pod. The charging time is up to 1.5 hours. Hollyland LARK M2S also still maintains open ecosystem support, where LARK M2S is free to be used with laptops, cameras or smartphones.
Hollyland LARK M2S has been on sale for selected markets since yesterday. Three combos are offered, namely LARK M2S Combo with 1x RX, 1x USB-C RX, 2x wireless microphones (TX) and 1x Lightning cable. Then there is the LARK M2S Mini Combo which gets the same set but without the Lightning cable and receives a cheaper price. Finally, there is the LARK M2S USB-C, the most affordable version with only receiving 1x USB-C RX and 2x wireless microphones.
This new microphone is also expected to arrive in the Malaysian market on January 15. The selling price starts at RM499, then RM599 and RM659 depending on the specific combo. Coming soon, a combo with Lightning RX will also be offered.
