Indonesia Plans to Enforce Minimum Age Limit for Using Social Media

Recent studies have shown that social media is not very healthy for children. In parallel, countries such as Australia have banned those under 16 from accessing social media, while China has also imposed controls not only on social media, but also on video games.

Recently, the Indonesian government is also said to be planning to introduce legislation that will set a minimum age limit for using social media. This step is in an effort to better protect children from the social media arena.
