Instagram Introduces Profile Grid Design Changes – Now Displays Shares Vertically

Instagram has made several changes to their service over the weekend. In addition to increasing the duration of Instagram Reels to 3 minutes, the social service has also brought about changes to the design of users' profiles.

Previously, Instagram displayed shares in the form of a square grid, leading users to take creative methods in organizing and presenting their respective profiles. However, starting at the end of last week, Instagram has made changes to the layout of the profile design.

Now, shares are displayed in the form of vertical images, slightly taller than the square design. Instagram says this step was taken because most of the images uploaded recently are in a vertical format and not square like before. This also includes video sharing.

Instgram says that it will soon also make it easier for users to choose a display image and change its position according to user taste.

For you, do you like this new display, or do you prefer the old square grid display on Instagram?
