iPhone 17 May Use a Combination of Glass and Aluminum Back Panel

Who remembers the popular dual-tone design of the Google Pixel 2? It used a glass panel with a unique finishing process where one side of the device was matte and the rest was shiny. This design concept may be used on the iPhone 17 according to information leaked by Fixed Focus Digital via Weibo.

The iPhone 17's back panel will combine the use of aluminum on the upper bump that houses the camera lens while glass is used on the bottom.

The use of titanium is also said to be discontinued with the Pro model likely using aluminum on the top and glass on the bottom. At the moment it is still unclear if the new design will affect only the Pro model or all iPhone 17.
