The MacBook Air is a thin and light laptop that is very popular with many users and Apple fans because it comes with a very thin and light design, but has quite powerful performance.
However, if there is one criticism of the MacBook Air, including other MacBook models, it may be regarding the screen display which still uses an LCD panel. There were previous rumors that the MacBook Air would start coming with an OLED display around 2027, but a report from the Korean technology news site, The Elec, has said that this plan has been delayed for another two years, to 2029.
The report said that it was because Apple found that sales for the iPad Pro tablet using an OLED panel were not as encouraging as expected. For the model that will be updated in 2027, it was also reported that Apple will switch to the same Oxide TFT panel used in their existing MacBook Pro series laptops.
As for the MacBook Pro, it is expected that the laptop series will switch to an OLED display in 2026.
