Marvel Snap Returns to the US But the App Remains Deleted

In addition to TikTok, other apps such as Marvel Snap, Lemon8 and CapCut were also blocked in the US last Saturday to comply with the Foreign Enemy App Act. Bytedance as a China-based company is seen as a company that could pose a national security risk. After TikTok resumed operations on Sunday, Marvel Snap was also accessible to users in the US on the first day.

Marvel Snap's developer, Second Dinner, said that after this they will include more services internally and look for partners with other publishers. Marvel Snap is published in the US by Nuverse, a subsidiary of Bytedance.

Although the app can be played again in the US, the app remains deleted from the Play Store and App Store but has returned to Steam. As explained earlier, even though the service has been restored, the Foreign Enemy App Act is still in effect. The act imposes fines on store owners who do not delete apps categorized as dangerous. To avoid liability, Google and Apple have been removing apps from their stores since Saturday.
