Minister of Communications, Fahmi Fadzil launched the Sebenarnya.my Chatbot which will function to curb the spread of fake news. At the same time, it allows users to check the authenticity of every news or information shared, especially via the WhatsApp application.
The Sebenarnya.my Chatbot, also known as Artificial Intelligence Fact-check (AIFA), was developed by MCMC in collaboration with strategic partners who also utilize artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It also plays a role in improving the functions of the Sebenarnya.my portal with several main objectives. These include helping to check and obtain authentic information quickly and easily, speeding up responses to unauthentic information online, and strengthening Sebenarnya.my's role in tackling the spread of fake information in Malaysia.
AIFA can be accessed 24 hours a day via the https://sebenarnya.my/ portal and the WhatsApp application (at +603-86887997). In addition, it supports four languages, namely Malay, English, Mandarin and Tamil for access to various user groups. Currently, only input in text format is supported but will be expanded to other formats in the future.
