In 2025, there will be no more fact-checking feature on social media service Meta, as it will be replaced by a community notes feature. This is said to be nothing to worry about as it will not affect users in Malaysia.
Most recently, Meta seems to be ready to provide a community notes feature on their social media platform. Famous leaker Alessandro Paluzzi discovered this feature already built into the Threads app. To use it, just press the three-dot menu on any share on Threads and press Write Community Note.
Every note written is anonymous and it will also be linked to Instagram because all Threads articles and user help services are on IG. This feature is said to be introduced in stages starting with users in the United States first.
