Qualcomm launched the Qualcomm Snapdragon X series of processor chips at the CES 2025 event earlier this month to allow tablet and laptop device makers to offer devices that are more compact and also have a much more affordable price compared to existing offerings.
There are rumors that with the introduction of this new Qualcomm processor chip, Microsoft may also introduce new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices that use the Qualcomm Snapdragon X processor chip.
The tablets and laptops are expected to come with 11- and 12-inch displays that will maintain the existing premium design. It is also expected that the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop tablets and laptops will show a price tag of $800 to $900.
Microsoft will hold a Surface For Business event next week which is expected to show updates to the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop CoPilot Plus series of tablets and laptops. It is expected that this latest update will see Microsoft finally introduce computer devices powered by Intel Lunar Lake processors.
