Motorola updated its lineup this year with the introduction of the Moto G (2025) and Moto G Power (2025). Both bring updated specifications with a big focus on hardware and better durability.
Starting with the Moto G (2025), it is equipped with a 6.7″ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaching 1000nits is also provided which should promise a good viewing experience in various situations. In addition, being powered by the Dimensity 6300 chip means it has built-in 5G support. The 5000mAh battery is included and can be charged via a 30W wired charging system. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and 2MP macro along with a 16MP front camera. The device also passes the IP52 rating to give users a smartphone that is resistant to splashes of water.
Meanwhile, the Moto G Power (2025) uses a larger 6.8-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000nits peak brightness. It is also powered by the Dimensity 6300 chip but with a larger 8GB RAM and at least 128GB of storage. A 5,000mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging is also provided. The camera system consists of 50MP + 8MP on the rear and a 16MP selfie on the front. A significant improvement this year is the IP68/69 waterproofing which is also the focus of many other manufacturers in the market today.
The Moto G (2025) will be available starting January 30 at $199 (4/128GB) (~RM896) while the Moto G Power 2025 is priced at $299.99 (8/128GB) (~RM1,351) each.
