New Honda Civic RS e:HEV Announced – Hybrid Car With 800 KM Range



2025 has just entered its 8th day, today Honda Malaysia announced the arrival of the new Honda Civic which is the 12th generation. And the hybrid version is available through the RS e:HEV version which also brings fuel savings. This 12th generation Honda Civic also brings some changes in terms of the design of the front nozzle which is more tapered and the tire rims which are more stylish.


This Honda Civic RS e:HEV uses a combination of a 2.0L engine which provides 143 PS and 189 Nm of torque, and an e-CVT electric motor which also provides 184PS and 315 Nm of torque. The combination of using the petrol engine and the electric motor allows for 0-100 km/h acceleration in seconds with a maximum speed of 180 km/h.


This Honda Civic RS e:HEV allows for high fuel economy through the use of the electric motor for low speeds, and the use of the engine for speeds suitable for use on the highway. In fact, the petrol engine will also be used more to generate electricity to charge the battery for the electric motor. With a full petrol tank, the travel distance of this hybrid car can reach 800km and, like the previous Civic, the petrol consumption rate is around 4L / 100KM.


Complementing this hybrid car is the level 2 self-driving function, namely Honda Sensing, which is complete with 9 functions including Adaptive Cruise Control and Low-Speed ​​Follow, Lane Keep Assist. So this makes the driving experience easier and more enjoyable. There are three driving modes, namely Economy, Normal and Sport, and for this version, there is a lever to change the level of re-braking to generate the battery more efficiently according to the user's wishes.


This 12th generation Honda Civic comes with several options that use petrol, and the hybrid version, namely the Honda Civic RS e:HEV, is sold at a price of RM 167,000 and users can also choose the Modulo accessory package to highlight their own style.
