In April last year, Google provided a device tracking feature similar to Apple's Find My Device. Through it, the location of Android devices can still be tracked even when the device is turned off, but it is limited to the Google Pixel 9 series only.
Now the OnePlus 13 has also received the same feature. When the device is tried to be turned off, a warning text by Find My Device will be displayed at the top of the screen. Three options are offered, namely Without network, With network in high-traffic areas only and With network in all areas. One feature requires Internet access, another for searching in a wider area and another no matter what the situation is always searching with Internet access.
The difference with the feature on the Pixel is that the UWB search feature is not enabled on the OnePlus 13. Although the device can be sounded to facilitate the search, the area to track the device is too wide at this point. In my attempt to find the OnePlus 13 at the our office, Find My Device gave the location of Kampung Bharu with a radius of several kilometers which was not helpful at all.
