Oracle and a group of investors including Microsoft are reportedly in talks to acquire TikTok operations, including on a global level. Under the partnership currently underway, Bytedance is targeted to have a minority stake in the new TikTok company, while the algorithm, software updates, and so on are managed by Oracle.
For your information, Oracle is ready to offer web infrastructure services for TikTok operations. For now, it is not known whether Bytedance will agree to this move or otherwise. Previously, they themselves took the step of ceasing operations in the United States instead of selling operations in that country to a local company.
TikTok's global value is targeted at around $200 billion.
For now, no party has issued an official comment, including ByteDance itself.
