Perodua and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) today signed a collaboration agreement in an effort to develop a new generation of electric vehicles. This includes educating and training a new generation of engineers in the development of technologies related to new generation electric vehicles.
This effort is seen as enabling Perodua to also play a major role in the development of technology and talent in Malaysia, including increasing knowledge related to it in Malaysia.
In parallel with this move, Perodua will also establish a specialized laboratory at the main UTM campus, which is in Skudai, Johor. Both parties also emphasized that they will share knowledge, and at the same time cooperate in the academic, research and development arenas.
