Robot vacuums can reduce the burden of sweeping the house every day. But not all robot vacuums have the ability to suck up larger garbage. At CES 2025, the Roborock Saros Z70 was launched with a “hand” that solves this issue.
The OmniGrip arm folds up on the top of the robot when not in use. It folds out to pick up large garbage detected by the robot’s sensors and camera. According to Roborock, the OmniGrip can pick up garbage up to 300 grams which is then thrown into the trash can. Owners can also use a smartphone app to control the OmniGrip remotely.
The Saros Z70 has been programmed to recognize up to 108 objects with owners able to program another 50 objects in the house themselves. This robot vacuum is compatible with the Google Home, Apple Home and Amazon Alexa connected device (IoT) ecosystems. The selling price has not yet been announced.
