Snapdragon 8 Elite With 7-Core Configuration Unveiled

Qualcomm recently quietly listed a variant of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It is not an overclocked or affordable version, but rather the same chip with 7-cores versus 8-cores and there is no information on which devices will use it.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip uses a configuration of 2x 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 6x 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M. It uses the second-generation Oryon CPUs that are equivalent to the Oryon CPUs in the Snapdragon X Elite for Windows devices that use the first generation. The new chip uses a configuration of 2x 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 5x 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M with the same Adreno 830 GPU and no other changes to the specifications.

The chip is codenamed SM8750-3-AB and is likely to be used in more affordable flagship devices. Qualcomm is also expected to introduce the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip, which has lower power than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Let's all wait for more information on which devices will use this new chip.
