The Size of the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 17 Will Not Get Smaller

Apple is said to be gradually reducing the size of the hole on the iPhone screen so that one day there will be an iPhone with a completely frameless screen. It starts with a notch, then moves on to the hole for the Dynamic Island and it gets smaller until it becomes an immersive screen. Unfortunately, it will not get smaller anytime soon according to Ming-Chi Kuo.

It is rumored that for the iPhone 17 lineup, Apple will reduce the size of the Dynamic Island. Apple is also said to want to use metalens that give the illusion of a smaller size, but this will not happen either. On the contrary, all iPhone 17s will remain with the same size of the Dynamic Island.

After all, the use of Dynamic Island was only introduced in 2022. Three years is still not enough, because it took 5 years for Apple to change from a large notch to a Dynamic Island. Who knows, the iPhone 17 Air may bring a big change to the iPhone before other iPhones accept it? Let's wait and see.
