Have you ever been in a situation where your Touch’n’Go card or account balance is not enough to pay tolls? Touch’n’Go has recently introduced the SOS Balance feature that allows you to pay toll fees in the event of an emergency where your account or card does not have enough money.
This feature is already available through the TNG eWallet application and to activate it, users are required to use the TNG eWallet digital wallet regularly, deposit money into the application and always settle the payment within the specified time.
When activated, the SOS Balance feature will help you pay the tolls for a while, where the “debt” must be repaid within 24 hours after the toll payment is made.
TNG says that the SOS Balance feature can now be used at toll plazas that support both the Touch’n’Go RFID and PayDirect features as listed on their FAQ page.
The TNG SOS Balance FAQ further states that if the SOS Balance balance is not paid within 24 hours, the feature will be suspended and in-app payment and purchase features will be frozen until it is paid. You just need to top up money on the app, and the balance will be paid automatically.
To view the SOS Balance feature, you just need to go to the TNG eWallet app and click the car icon at the top of the app, next to your eWallet balance. You will be redirected to the SOS Balance page. Apart from that, you can also view the feature after pressing the “More” button on the app.
