Touch n Go eWallet today officially introduced the SOS Balance feature to a select number of users of the digital wallet, allowing access to additional funds when your wallet does not have enough balance to pay for tolls.
TNG eWallet said that one of the main causes of congestion at toll plazas is insufficient balance, which leaves many stranded and leads to prolonged congestion. With the introduction of this SOS Balance, this problem has been overcome.
TNG eWallet provides access to up to RM80 per day through SOS Balance, and users must complete it within 24 hours. If late, there is no charge for now, but users cannot use the digital wallet due to credit debt. This feature can be used at toll plazas that support PayDirect.
A person can also go through more than one toll within a day, as long as the balance does not exceed RM80. Due to the risk of abuse of this feature, SOS Balance is only being introduced starting with hardcore Touch n Go eWallet users for now.
For those of you who use Touch n Go eWallet, you can check this feature by going to the SOS Balance menu, or by clicking on the “toll” icon next to the country selection on the TNG eWallet home page.
