Alibaba Now Sets Target to Achieve AGI Phase as the Company's Main Goal

Alibaba is one of the leading technology companies from China, and also has a number of brands under them, including Lazada in Malaysia. Most recently, when sharing the annual financial statement, Alibaba's CEO shared that they have now set a target to achieve AGI phase (artificial general intelligence) as the company's main objective.

For your information, the AGI phase is categorized as a phase where artificial intelligence can think on par with humans, or more than humans.

To this end, Alibaba will continue to develop more advanced models and achieve AGI. This announcement also indirectly positions Alibaba as a company focused on artificial intelligence, rather than focusing on retail and other businesses.
