Apple previously showed off a rough version of the next-generation Siri, which is also powered by artificial intelligence. With this integration, it allows Siri to understand the context of conversations, and provide better answers – compared to the existing Siri that provides responses based on specific keywords.
However, now there are early reports that software challenges, including bugs, are causing the introduction of the new generation Siri to be delayed.
Initially, Apple targeted April for the introduction, but it may now be delayed until May 2025. According to internal tests, Siri is said to not provide a consistent experience when used.
Previously, a number of users also complained about the news summary feature not working properly on Apple Intelligence, in addition to the method of removing objects in pictures that is not neat compared to Samsung's offerings.
For your information, Apple previously only said that the new generation of Siri would be available via the iOS 18 update in 2025, and did not specify a specific official introduction date for it, thus giving Apple more time to develop and optimize it.
