Elon Musk, through a recent interview, stated that he's not interested in acquiring TikTok. This puts an end to the various speculations that have been present recently, stating that Elon Musk is among those who want to acquire the social service after it was ordered to be sold by the United States.
TikTok itself recently issued an official statement saying that there were no discussions with Elon Musk regarding this, but several Western media outlets continued to play the narrative.
Through the same interview, Elon Musk also stated that there were no plans to acquire the service. At the same time, Elon Musk said that he had never used TikTok personally, and was not familiar with its offerings.
Previously, several analysts also said that China may take steps to not allow the sale of TikTok, and would be more willing to see it buried in the United States. China itself has previously reprimanded the United States government so that all business transactions must go through market movements, and not due to government pressure.
