5G network coverage has also increased to 82.4 percent in populated areas compared to 82.1 percent at the end of last year. The average national 5G network speed so far has also been recorded at a rate of 174Mbps.
The total number of 5G network transmitter sites is also reported to be 7485 towers so far, and will be added when the second 5G network project will begin later.
He made this announcement during the 5G Dual Network Implementation Coordination Meeting held at the Ministry of Communications office this morning. Announcements on the direction of Digital Nasional Berhad, the first 5G network operator, and U Mobile, the country's second 5G network operator, will be announced in the near future.
