As rumored since last year, Microsoft has finally confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 will arrive on the PlayStation 5 console next spring. The date has not yet been finalized but may be around March or April. Forza Horizon 5 was previously launched exclusively for the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles and PC.
Microsoft's strategy lately is to no longer keep their published games exclusively for Xbox. Last year Minecraft, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Pentium were offered on PlayStation 5. With Forza Horizon 5 confirmed for PS5, it is also heard that the next game that will be brought to the competing console is Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
In the current generation console war, Xbox seems to have raised the flag with PlayStation 5 crowned the champion with sales of over 70 million units so far. Sony has also started offering their games such as The Last of Us Part 1, God of War and Helldivers 2 to PC as an effort to expand their IP to other platforms to increase profits.
