Garmin Descent G1 was launched in Malaysia in 2022 with a special edition with a Solar panel offered a year later. The latest updated model Descent G2 was announced with improvements compared to before.
Among them are a larger screen which is now 1.2” with a resolution of 390 X 390. It is also certified with a 10 ATM waterproof rating that can be taken swimming at a depth of 100 meters. Support for various diving modes is also provided which include Dive Readiness, Dive Log Tracking and Dive Compass. It is also easy to navigate underwater through the built-in 3-Axis Compass function, while the Tide Data feature can ensure users remain aware of water conditions to ensure it is suitable for diving.
Descent G2 can also be used for many other Health and fitness features. For example, such as daily step tracking, total calories burned, daily stress levels, heart rate and others. Users can also choose from over 1600 types of workouts in the Garmin Connect app as an additional feature.
Descent G2 is also equipped with Garmin Pay which allows users to make payments wirelessly. Other features that complement this watch include the ability to make phone calls, reply to short messages, control music audio and so on, Garmin Descent G2 is sold in Malaysia with a price tag of RM3,459 starting 21 February 2025.
