Google has also started developing AI agents through their Gemini AI chatbot. This started with the Gemini 2.0 public speaking model. Now after more than a month in the testing stage, the Gemini 2.0 Flash model has been updated to a stable version.
According to Google, this 2.0 Flash model is 2x faster than the 1.5 Pro model. Gemini 2.0 also offers multi-modal support, allowing for the direct generation of images and audio, and at the same time allowing the development of AI agents on top of it. One example of an interesting feature with this model is Project Astra through the new Gemini Live on the Samsung Galaxy S25 which is also now available on the Pixel 9.
Starting today, the stable version of Gemini 2.0 Flash is ready to be used on the web version of Gemini. It will also be available to applications in stages. On the web, it supports voice commands and attaching images, Google Drive, files or folders of code. In my tests, this new Flash model not only generates information quickly, but also provides more information than the previous Flash model. Now we just have to wait for the more powerful Gemini 2.0 Advanced model to become stable. Let's all look forward to it.
