Google Now Allows Their AI to Be Used in Weapons

Google has removed a phrase that prevented its artificial intelligence (AI) from being used for the purpose of producing weapons and surveillance systems. This phrase existed in the original principles of their AI development in 2018 after employees organized a demonstration and resigned because Google was working with the US military in Project Maven to analyze data collected by drones. The change was noticed by Bloomberg after it was updated yesterday.

The change is seen as in line with President Trump's administration, which wants to use AI technology without any obstacles introduced by the previous administration. This is another change in the company's principles that removed the phrase "Don't be evil" in 2018.

Google may see that they should not sit on the sidelines when their competitors such as OpenAI have already collaborated with kamikaze drone maker Anduril last year and formed a consortium to bid for US military projects.

Google has been criticized by human rights activists for firing 28 employees who protested Project Nimbus. A cloud project between Google and Israel and has been used by the Zionist regime to illegally monitor and collect data on Palestinians.
