Google Pixel 9a Sale May Not Include Free Google One AI Premium

The Google Pixel 9a is expected to be priced above RM2,500, unless Google and distributors can agree to sell it at a lower price to be more competitive against competitors that offer better specs at more affordable prices. Recently, free snacks or promotions during the launch have been revealed and it is disappointing.

In the United States, the purchase of the Google Pixel 9a is said to offer access to Fitbit Premium for 6 months, YouTube Premium for 3 months, and Google One 100GB for 3 months. According to Android Headlines, it is the same offer at the launch of the Pixel 9 except that the Pixel 9a does not have a Google One AI Premium subscription for Gemini Advanced access.

In Malaysia, only the storage upgrade and Google One AI Premium are given. So does this mean that the Pixel 9a sale in Malaysia will offer a selling price of 128GB for 256GB? Would you buy it if it was sold here?

As a reminder, the Pixel 9a is a mid-range device with the same chip as the Pixel 9, which is the Tensor G4. It will also use a 120Hz OLED screen, support a 48MP camera, support 7 years of updates and support other AI features found on the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9a is expected to go on sale around the end of March with pre-orders likely opening on March 19.
