Google's Use of the Chromecast Name Is Now Ending

Last year, the Google TV Streamer was launched as a more powerful TV box than Chromecast with Google TV. Not only that, with this new TV box, the use of the Chromecast name is also no longer used and Google has also started to stop producing Chromecast products.

A few days ago, the Google Store was seen to have started to stop selling the last Chromecast product, which is Chromecast with Google TV. Google has confirmed that sales will only continue while stocks last and production has been stopped. Now only a few stores are selling it, including in Malaysia. However, update support will still be maintained and provided to users.

Don't forget that since May 2024, Google will also no longer use the Chromecast name for the feature of sharing phone/tablet screen content to a television screen or other external display. They now use the Google Cast name. For Android devices, some use the Cast name only and some use the Screencast name. I'm just not sure if users can get used to Google Cast because they have been used to Chromecast for more than a decade.
