iPhone 17 Expected to Use Apple's Own Developed WiFi Chip

Apple through the iPhone 16e has already introduced their own cellular modem, named Apple C1. Not only that, Apple is also seen to replace the use of the chip for WiFi on the iPhone 17 with a chip developed by them, thus replacing the previous use of Broadcom chips.

According to the latest report, Apple is expected to use their new WiFi chip on all new iPhone 17 models this year. This will allow Apple to continue to reduce costs, and at the same time improve connection support between Apple devices - each other.

With this step, Apple is seen getting closer to replacing various components with those developed and designed by them, including processing chips and others.
