Maxis is now seen coming with a new service, called Maxis Home Solar. Through it, it offers a subscription-based service that allows users to install solar panels at home, and use them to generate energy for the use of electrical appliances.
Maxis says it is offered on a limited basis for now, and is exclusive to Maxis customers in the Klang Valley. Those interested can register their interest, and Maxis will contact them for further process.
Under Maxis Home Solar, Maxis says they use high-quality solar panels and inverters. This offer comes with a 10-year contract, and users are expected to be able to save up to 25% on their current electricity bills. Customers will also be registered under NEM (Net Energy Metering), where excess energy generated can be exported to the TNB grid, thus reducing TNB's electricity charges.
Maxis Home Solar does not have a fixed subscription price, and you will be proposed with a specific solution after Maxis assesses your home. Users can choose to pay a fixed monthly bill or choose to pay based on the energy generated through the solar panels.
Maxis says that installing solar panels will usually cost RM30,000 to RM50,000 – but with Maxis, users need to make a down payment of RM1,000, and then follow the monthly payment settings.
For those of you who are interested, you can register your interest on the official Maxis website today.
