MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Chip Launched

Another new chip was launched this morning, the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, which is an update to the Dimensity 6300 chip. In terms of specifications, there are no major changes as it is manufactured using 6nm technology by TSMC. It also still maintains the configuration of 2x Cortex-A76 2.4 GHz and 6X Cortex-A55 2.0GHz. The only difference is that the Cortex-A76 cores are slightly faster.

This is matched to the same Mali-G57 MC2 GPU as the Dimensity 6300. Because it is a lower-midrange processor, it supports LPDDR4X memory, UFS 2.2 storage and cameras up to 108MP or dual 16+16 MP cameras. However, the chip does support 5G networks, but WiFi is only 5GHz.

It is believed that the first device that will use the Dimensity 6400 is the Realme P3x 5G.
