The Ministry of Digital has now announced that it will collaborate with the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) in studying the impact of technological developments on employment in the future, especially when it involves the recent development of the artificial intelligence arena.
As many are aware, artificial intelligence is currently showing rapid development, where various technology companies are competing with each other in developing their models to reach the AGI phase. This development has also led to side developments such as artificial intelligence-based engineers that facilitate programming. Several companies in the west have begun to reduce the number of employees in implementing the use of artificial intelligence in daily productivity.
The Minister of Digital said that they want to ensure that the use of technology will improve local businesses and economies, and at the same time ensure that the people have jobs. By starting an initial study, the government aims to ensure that sectors that are affected by this digital technology, as well as have appropriate solutions before it has a major impact.
