Mistral is one of the European-based firms that has developed its own public language model. Most recently, Mistral introduced a model optimized specifically for the Arab market, called Mistral Saba.
Mistral Saba aims to be able to interact well in Arabic, in addition to generating content and text in Arabic. With this move, Mistral's offering is also more focused on the Middle East market that other competitors are not focused on. Mistral Saba is a small model with 24 billion parameters, but operates better than Mistral Small 3.
Mistral has started offering Mistral Saba through their API, and is also offered to enterprises and industries that want to develop on their own servers. In addition to Arabic, Mistral Saba also understands several other languages, including Tamil and Malayalam.
