Nikon has officially launched the COOLPIX P1100, a compact digital camera with 125x optical zoom capability. It is designed for those who need a camera with a super-telephoto lens to take pictures from a distance. The COOLPIX P1100 offers a focal range of 24–3000mm equivalent making it suitable for taking pictures in a variety of situations and environments.
The COOLPIX P1100 is equipped with a 16MP 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor with the ability to record 4K30FPS video. The sensor also supports a standard ISO range of 100-6400. In addition, it has a built-in Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction which should help reduce shake when taking pictures or videos hands-free.
There are various photography modes to choose from including Moon Mode, Bird Mode, Light Trails and others. The camera also supports Nikon's NRW (RAW) format, and videos recorded in 4K UHD format can also be converted to still images. Also complementing the camera is a non-touch LCD panel on the rear and an OLED viewfinder with 921 million dots.
The included battery can last up to 250 shots on a single charge. Other features include a USB-C port, microphone/audio jack and HDMI. The COOLPIX P1100 will be available in late February with a starting price of $1,099.95 (~RM4,859) each.
