A few days ago, Nothing shared a video comparing one of their Nothing Phone (3a) devices to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Nothing's new mid-range device is seen to have amazing camera capabilities compared to an expensive flagship device. After the video was shared, Nothing was criticized for using the wrong camera mode for the comparison.
Due to this, many users left comments feeling dissatisfied and unfair in such a comparison. Nothing's representative was seen using the 1x camera mode on the Phone (3a) to record videos, while the 0.5x mode on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This made the quality of Nothing's videos look better than the iPhone.
After realizing this, Nothing issued a statement apologizing for realizing that they made a mistake in editing the video they published. They claimed to have chosen the wrong video file because they had tested all the camera modes. Even more embarrassing was that after the launch of the iPhone 16e, Nothing mocked Apple about their cameras.
Anyway, the resulting images shown appear to be of good quality and you can judge them for yourself via this Google Drive link.
