Nothing Phone (3a) Prototype Almost Stolen From Nothing Co-Founder

With about a month to go before the Nothing Phone (3a) series is launched, many are already eagerly awaiting its arrival. Now there is a lot of fake news, leaked information and the latest is criminal activity where a Phone (3a) prototype device was attempted to be seized by a snatcher.

Akis Evangelidis, the co-founder of Nothing who we interviewed about Essential, shared on X about this attempted snatching experience. The Phone (3a) was attempted to be snatched from his hands, but failed and is suspected to be intended to leak information about the device.

This case occurred around the city of London and was assisted by the Metropolitan Police. In the attempted snatching, two other devices were also found that looked like a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and an iPhone 15 Pro or possibly an iPhone 16 Pro.

The Nothing Phone (3a) series will be launched at MWC Barcelona 2025 on March 4, 2025. Not much information has been shared other than the tri-camera configuration on a bump that looks like a mini version of the Google Pixel camera bar. Then there are new additional buttons, a neater and simpler Glyph system, a 6.8″ 120Hz OLED screen, a 5000mAh battery with 45W charging, a 50+50+8 Megapixel camera, and running the newer Nothing OS.
